Filipinapartner
is owned and managed by me, a Filipina who had lived in Sweden since 1991.
I work since 1997 as an interpreter (Visaya, Tagalog/Swedish).
I interpret in courts, schools, hospitals,
immigrations, social services and other institutions in Sweden.
My latest interpreting assignment
outside Sweden was in 2018 when I joined a team of a Swedish prosecutor, lawyer and special police forces in a trip to the Philippines to act as interpreter on a case.
Besides working on my firm, I am also employed at the University Hospital in northern Sweden.
What I am most proud of is when I, together with 4 other kind-hearted Filipinos
in Sweden co-founded FGCA, Filipino Global Charity Association.
We offered scholarships to poor but deserving and talented Filipino children from highschool to university level in Luzon,
Visayas & Mindanao and helped break the chain of poverty in the Philippines.
Thanks to the enormous support of Filipinos around the Globe, some of our scholars are
now very successful individuals.
My long experience in the interpreting field and my 31 years of residence in Sweden had enabled me to have a deeper understanding of Swedish culture and the cultural differences between Sweden and Philippines.

Ägs och drivs av mig, en filippinare som bott i Sverige sedan 1991.
Jag arbetar som tolk (Visaya/Tagalog-Svenska) sedan 1997.
Jag har tolkat i domstolar, på skolor, i sjukhus, på Migrationsverket, Socialtjänsten
och andra samhällsinstitutioner i Sverige.
Jag har även agerat tolk åt svenska polisen i rättsmål utanför Sverige, senast i Filippinerna 2018.
Förutom att jag driver min firma, arbetar jag också på Norrlands Universitetssjukhus.
Någonting som jag är väldigt stolt över är FGCA – Filipino Global Charity Association – som jag grundade tillsammans med fyra andra filippinskor.
Vi erbjöd stipendier till filippinska barn som på grund av deras familjs ekonomiska situation inte hade möjligheten att studera vidare.
Nu fick de möjlighet att gå på high school och studera på universitetet, vilket var en viktig del i att bryta fattigdomen för dessa personer, som idag är väldigt framgångsrika.
Ingenting av detta hade varit möjligt utan det stora stödet från filippinare runtom i världen.
Tack vare min långa erfarenhet inom tolkbranschen och mina många år i Sverige har
jag fått en djupare förståelse för svensk kultur och de kulturella skillnaderna mellan Sverige och Filippinerna.
